Social responsibility and commitment advocate citizenship and volunteerism thereby promoting skills associated with teamwork and community involvement.
At St. Xavier’s High School, service-learning is a part of the school culture, where children are given opportunities and experiences to enable them to make a difference in their community. While gaining a sense of self-efficiency along with increasing their classroom learning, students can look at the academic curriculum in the context of a real-world service experience.
Keeping this in mind we had organized the donation drive in collaboration with lakshyam foundation (NGO) to help the slum women and children. Our school children volunteered and promoted the drive which was a huge success.
